I love the Transporter and an image of it is the header for my own blog. However, with its inefficient operation in high winds and bad weather, expensive operational costs in times of austerity and the length of time it takes to cross, particularly if you have just missed the gondola setting off, I cant help but wonder if we would be better off removing the gondola and having a permanent driveable span across the Tees instead. It would help relieve the chaos created when the A19 Tees flyover is closed to high-sided vehicles or the frequent collisions and breakdowns occur.
